Preface to volume 9 of Teachings of Denver Snuffer

The Lord intends to introduce us to the oceans of truth He has in store for those who love Him and purify themselves before Him, to whom He grants the privilege of seeing and knowing for themselves. Think of it: So many worlds have been organized by Jesus Christ that they are “without number”—and many of them have “passed away” after their organization.

From what we can observe with our present technology, there are now trillions, even more, quadrillions, yet even more, stars. Our present state of science confirms our Lord’s creations are beyond our ability to count, more so if we consider all that have passed away alongside all now rolling into creation.

To organize an earth with the elements needed for life, it requires an almost infinite amount of time to produce the necessary elements. The simplest elements fuse in stars, changing from hydrogen nuclei to helium nuclei and releasing energy. It requires a star to run through its entire life and collapse into a supernova explosion. In order to produce such elements as helium, carbon, neon, oxygen, silicon, gold, aluminum, uranium (which were essential for organizing this world), stars had to be formed, run through their fuel, collapse, and expel elements into space: planetary nebula and disorganized matter awaiting God’s organizing hand.

Every element used to form our bodies was once part of a star. It is estimated the universe is 13.79 billion years old. Every second of that time was needed to arrive at the point where the elements existed to be organized into this world. The Organizer has been at work since energy first turned into matter. He is the mighty individual who condescended to become a mere man, born into this world clothed in the elements of the earth. When we read the account of His mortal life, we hardly recognize Him as the Creator responsible for infinite creations. In order for Him to arrive at that ultimate end, the Lord had not only to organize or create this cosmos like the Father had before Him, but He also needed to attain to the resurrection and redeem or reclaim that creation. That required specific conditions.

The Lord had to voluntarily lay down His life, even when He was entitled to live forever. Since He was without sin, and death entered the world because of transgression, His death needed to be unjust. His suffering needed to be unmerited. He needed to be an innocent sacrifice so that justice would be violated by His death, making mercy possible.  Jesus Christ faithfully followed what the Father required. He set the mark and provided the example for us to follow.

Now we are offered the same opportunity to continue on the upward journey. But moving upward is only accomplished by obedience and fidelity to the Father’s plan. Jesus Christ is the revelation of what following that plan requires of us.

The Lord requires patience in order for us to possess our souls.

The Lord’s pace must be accepted.

Pushing it forward or pulling it back will not alter it. He does not share our haste.

Haste is a mousetrap designed by the adversary to exploit a character flaw.

None of us understands our circumstances better than the Lord. When there is finally a society capable of living in harmony with one another, Zion will follow in due course as a natural by-product of that society.

If it could be achieved as a goal at a chosen location, then earlier, better people would already have accomplished it. Generations have come and gone, hoping to see it return, and have not done so. We are no better than other failed utopians and cannot do better than the past failures until we begin to acquire the necessary traits and skills that allow authentic harmony to thrive and grow.

There is still a great gulf separating us from the promised New Jerusalem.

There is a need for order, and order should be the result of following correct principles. If we are taught correct principles, then we should be able to govern ourselves.

The Lord’s Holy Order is not designed to impose rule, control, or assert dominion over the unwilling. It is designed to teach correct principles and then allow those who are taught to govern themselves.

The Holy Order empowers and frees. It assumes the individual will decide to give heed to what is taught. The Holy Order requires a restoring of great knowledge that is hidden from the world. The Fathers knew it would be restored in the last days and anxiously anticipated its return. Generations have wanted to hear the words that are being taught today and have not heard them. To hear them is to become accountable for receiving and then acting on what is taught. The question remains open as to whether we will allow the Holy Order to function among us. The Lord WILL permit it.

He is willing to identify those He will permit to enter into His House (meaning, His Family). The question is, Who will welcome it? The conditions today are the same as at the time of Adam, Enoch, Melchizedek, and Abraham: Few there be that will find it, because few are inclined to do and accept what is required. It saddens me to think we will not all arrive together. But I also have seen how easily offended some of us have been at things that should have been cheerfully endured.

We should expect chastening. If we cannot endure God’s chastening hand, then we are not worthy of His blessing. I hope that I can prove to be faithful. But if any of you are there when the Lord brings Zion, then let your songs of everlasting joy break forth; let the hills tremble at your presence and God’s pavilion spread over you to shield you from drought and hunger, and let your gratitude in God’s charity sink deeply into your souls.
