Defining the Dispute Regarding the Statement of Principles
November 7–8, 2026
Utah County

All members of the Covenant Christian community are invited to participate in this workshop focused on better understanding the differing perspectives surrounding the Statement of Principles. This is the first in a series of workshops where we will labor together.

In order to attend the workshop, individuals must register by Saturday, October 17th.

This gathering will provide an opportunity to listen, reason together, and practice charitable deliberation among brothers and sisters who may hold different views. There will be an introductory Zoom meeting for registrants: Sunday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
All perspectives are welcome.

P.S. Seriously, you need to register by October 17th. This is not a come and sit conference. The success of this workshop will be directly proportional to your participation.

  Growing Zion - a perspective In the Growing Zion podcast Denver said, “And the challenge for Zion is always the first one: The seed. “ Some gardeners begin every garden by planting seed in the ground. My Response to "The Perfect Mousetrap" -- Part 1 - McKay Platt

My Response to “The Perfect Mousetrap” – Part 1 I have heard a good deal of reaction to this talk. Some reacted viscerally to the message, including me. Having had 2+ weeks to read and re-read the transcript, I have come to realize that what I originally thought was being said is quite different from what was actually taught. I want to share my understanding of the message in the hopes that it might help some of you.  In part 1, I will review what was taught, what wasn’t taught and what was behind my visceral reaction about the interchange between Cpt. Moroni and Parhoran. There is plenty more in the talk to critique and evaluate later but not in Part 1. “The Perfect Mousetrap” speaks in glowing terms about some aspects of the communication of Cpt.
